I returned from England! We just visited London because we had just four days. I'll post the photoes after my test.
We stayed in a little hotel and we didn't go out the night or the late evening because we were quite tired, walking and travelling underground all the day in London. So the night my sister and I watched Torchwood : D the third and last season. We loved it.
I'd have so many things to say but I'll write more when I'll post the photoes. I've just to say that yesterday we went to the Apollo Theatre to watch the musical Wicked. It was the original reason of our trip: watch Wicked. And it was worth it. The musical was touching, wonderful. I loved every bit of it.
(and I bought one of the novel of Torchwood : D in Harrolds! I couldn't find all the books I was earching about Mordred : ( )
And I visited the national museum of natural science! But not all of it (unluckly) because my sister felt sick ;_;
Meme time
And from Babydracky : D
Reply to this meme by yelling "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your LJ and explain what they mean to you.
These are the words that she gave me :D.
- Mordred
Mordred is a must! I was quite disappointed by the fact that in the book shops of London they didn't know him ;_; I hoped that, at least in England, they knew him because I always thought he was a famouse legendary figure. However I love him anyway.
I 'met' him some years ago (maybe five) when I was reading the Excalibur series by Cornwell B. In that novels Mordred is a real evil character but in the third novel, I think, he nearly cried near the grave of the mother and I decided to find more informations about him. I discovered his story, very different from the story of the book of Cornwell, and I decided to read some books about him when, by accident, I found I am Mordred (Nancy Springer) in a library. I like the book but not enought so I looked for more novels and, without realizing it, I have elected Mordred as the 'most interesting character of the legends'. I didn't know Arthurian legends very much, only a bit, and with Mordred I started to read books about them a discover them. <3 I still love Mordred and the legends <3 it'll be a never-ending obsession!
- Ethology
I always wanted to study ethology, also when I didn't know what ethology was. When I was a child I strogly wanted to speak with animals. I used to live near a farm and I used to spend my days watching the animals. I played with little plastic animals and peluches. Sometimes I pretended to be a dog all day (for the joy of my parents XD). I just wanted to be an animal because they were so beautiful to my eyes. Then I discovered the biology and the ethology and I thought that etology was the nearest thing to 'speaking to animals'. So I'm still a childish girl and I still want to speak with animal. I can't help myself, I find extremily wonderful and mysterious the interaction between different species of animals (also humans).
- Vegetarian
I decided to become vegetarian many years ago but I wasn't able to stop eating fish and meat, it was too difficult. I knew that I would respect myself a little more if I was a vegetarian because I can the't stand way the animals that are going to be food are treated and the fact that we eat something so close to us. I managed to become vegetarian only after the High school, in the 2007, when I decided to change my look and myself, to become more indipendent and strong and less concerned about other people opinions about me.
- Writing
I have so many dreams XD but this is a dream I want to make real. To write a novel. It's difficult because I have so many ideas and I start many stories but I'm also a lazy person so I can never end something. I'm quite relaxed about writing. I write only for fun and if I want to so most of the time I write fanfictions : D (that usually I don't end.. haha).
- Knights
I have this thing for knights... I just love man with horses and honor (like knights and cowboys). When I was young I was fascinated by knights and dragons and I wanted to be a knight and to ride a horse. When I grew up I discovered the world of the Arthurian legends and I fell in love with knights all over again.
